A name or place entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Jefferson County Criminal History does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.

Its pages explain how to reach the Jefferson Circuit Court Clerk, Louisville Metro Police Department, Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police Criminal Identification and Records Branch, and Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into third-party dossiers or consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies operate the search boxes displayed on this website. Information submitted there falls under the selected partner's privacy policy and its own rules for retention and disclosure. We cannot set or control those practices, so review the provider's policy before running a query.
